Sound before Symbol

What a great week. Every day teaching amazes me. Especially teaching them what I am passionate about.
I love the "Sound before Symbol" idea which is the main theme for this term's teaching. Deciding the best way to motivate the different age groups is an exciting challenge every day.
As well as the different age groups, considering each diverse learner will only improve my teaching as I dig deep to support each learning style.
For me the biggest thing is getting the balance between knowing you are setting your student up for success and providing a challenge that will further their skills.
My goal this week was to motivate each and every student to want to learn more that will lead to their enjoyment. This means presenting concepts in a variety of ways.
Music Ace, a fun platform for teaching theory has proved to be extremely popular. It always amazes me how students grasp concepts quickly by listening and interacting with Mr Maestro. It proves that we all love getting off the bench and participate in games to support their learning.
